Enactus Kenya is a platform that supports university students to develop and implement entrepreneurial projects aimed at alleviating poverty as well as improving livelihoods. The programme connects affiliated university students, academia and business leaders through entrepreneurial activities initiated by students. The projects developed by a team of students go along way empowering and transforming lives through sustainable mechanism. The enactus expo has been conducted for the last 19 years with over 20 public and private universities participating in the national competitions every year and since inception about 18 universities have proceeded to the international world cups held in various cities across the globe.
The 19th Enactus Kenya National Exposition shall take place in July 12 – 17, 2021 for virtual events and on July 23, 2021 for the Final round to determine the overall winner. The physical event shall bring together the top 5 teams and top 2 from each category of the open events to physically present their projects and showcasing. The participating teams have the opportunity to engage in various expo activities during the competition week.
The apex of the competition will be a physical business presentation competition. Judges for both opening and final round of the competition will be identified. The panel of judges will assess the impact of the projects presented and help in determining the best three teams. The sourced judges will also play an important role of supporting the Enactus through technical and financial assistance.
The 2021 enactus hybrid expo therefore is a unique opportunity for the universities to participate digitally and physically in the national competition. The enactus Kenya 2021 expo will offer the best compelling universities projects an opportunity of competing with other international teams later in October 2021.
